5 REASONS WHY YOU NEED TO READ THE HOLY QUR'AN.

Updated: May 10, 2020

Bismillah wassalatu wassalamu ala Rasulillah.

before we dive into the 5 reasons why you need to read the Holy Qur'an, we will need to have a better understanding of the meaning of the Holy Qur'an.

Yes, it's right what you are thinking, but just a book? no, a written document, not quite, the very best definition of Holy Qur'an is "A divine revelation, sent by Allah (S.W.T) through Archangel Gabriel (Jibeel) to prophet Muhammad PBUH. another good definition of the Holy Qur'an is; "A divine law, book, guide, reveled through the one must trusted Angel of Allah SWT to the final and last prophet Muhammad SAW.

Qur'an is words of Allah (kalamullah), but it is not a creation because whatever is attached to Allah in His attribute is not a creation because the creator is not created, if the creator is created then who created Him?

The Answer to the above Question is "Nobody", according to the "Salaf doctrine" Allah's words are not created.

Now, since you have a better understanding of what the Holy Qur'an is, I don't want to go deep in the above complications, let's go directly into the 5 reasons you need to recite the Holy Qur'an.

  1. IT IS UNIQUE: One mystery but truth about the Holy Qur'an is its uniqueness, there is no religious scripture like it sins the beginning of this world and up to date, it is unique in many ways which here is not a place to discuss them.

  2. IT IS COMPLETE IN ITS ENTIRETY: The Qur'an, for over 1400 years is complete and nothing is changed or edited, no single phrase is missing an not even a word or a single letter.

  3. IT BUILDS A STRONG RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN YOU AND ALLAH: The Holy Qur'an build a strong relationship between you and Allah when you recite it with sincerity and intention to earn the reward in it. It was narrated (in meaning): that the prophet Muhammad SAW encouraged us to read the holy Qur'an with a good and beautiful voice recitation. And when recited with sincere Intention to earn reward, one could earn 10 rewards per single letter. let's do the analytics.

You recite just the Bismillah (Bismillahir-rahmanir-rahim) how much reward did you think you just earned by reciting this (that is to say if it's not during the Month of Ramadan), the calculation is quite bulky.

In "Bismillah" alone, we have 17 arabic letters, now multiply 10 times 17, yes!! the result is 170! Subhanallah!! 170 rewards just by reciting BISMILLAH!

what if you recited it in the Month of Ramadan? it is 100 rewards per each letter, it means a million and seven hundred thousand rewards to recite Bismillah alone?

let's just not calculate much about this, becuse one could go insane to calculate how much reward he could earn by reciting the complete Holy Qur'an during Ramadan.

May Allah provide us with the ability to do that Ameen.

4. IT IMPROVES LONG TERM MEMORY

5. IT BRINGS ABOUT LIGHT TO THE FACE.

more lights will be shed on the above two 4-5 numbers Insha'Allah. stay with us.
